Terms of Service

The rules of the road.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using UptimeClaw, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use constitutes acceptance.

The service

UptimeClaw provides website and server uptime monitoring with alert notifications. We check your configured URLs at regular intervals and notify you when downtime or issues are detected. We do not guarantee 100% detection accuracy.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One person or organization per free account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use UptimeClaw to:

  • Monitor URLs you do not own or have permission to monitor
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks or load testing via monitoring checks
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages through alert channels
  • Resell the service without written permission
  • Circumvent usage limits through multiple free accounts

Billing and payments

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Upgrades are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for partial months. You can cancel anytime — your plan remains active until the end of the paid period.

Service level agreement

Enterprise plan customers receive a 99.9% uptime SLA for the monitoring engine and alert delivery systems. If we fail to meet this target, affected customers receive service credits. SLA details are provided in the Enterprise agreement.

Data and privacy

Your use of UptimeClaw is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data. We process monitoring data solely to provide the service.

Limitation of liability

UptimeClaw is provided "as is." We are not liable for damages resulting from missed alerts, false positives, service downtime, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted. You can export your data via the API before termination.
